The Rheinländer Pack Axe is a compact, easy portable all-purpose hatchet that is suitable for both one-handed and two-handed use thanks to its ergonomic 50cm hickory handle.
The two-handed use also enables stronger swinging blows when a little more force is required.
The forged hatchet with its traditional Rheinish head shape and wide, sharp cutting edge is an extremely useful companion for backpackers, campers and forest workers.
Comes with our top grade cowhide leather blade sheath.

The Traditional Line is our premium series of classic axes with authentic character. The axe heads are drop-forged and then individually hand-finished, ground, and refined by our experienced blacksmiths. This elaborate manufacturing process gives each axe its own unique look – no two are alike. The axes in this line convey the robust, honest feel of a traditional hand tool – combined with the precision and reliability of modern German quality manufacturing. The handles are smoothly ground and treated with boiled linseed oil. A vegetable-tanned leather sheath is included.
