The Bavarian forest axe is the largest wooden axe with a traditional Rhenish head shape and a wide, sharp cutting edge.
The forged axe is ideally suited for more demanding use in the yard, around the house or the cabin in the countryside.
With its necessary weight and high power transmission thanks to the ergonomic 80cm hickory handle, it is the right choice for heavy felling work, but also delivers a convincing result when splitting.
Comes with a high-quality leather edge protector.

The Traditional Line is our premium series of classic axes with authentic character. The axe heads are drop-forged and then individually hand-finished, ground, and refined by our experienced blacksmiths. This elaborate manufacturing process gives each axe its own unique look – no two are alike. The axes in this line convey the robust, honest feel of a traditional hand tool – combined with the precision and reliability of modern German quality manufacturing. The handles are smoothly ground and treated with boiled linseed oil. A vegetable-tanned leather sheath is included.
