Berlin Double Bit Axe
The Berlin Double Bit Axe is a traditionally forged felling axe with a straight 75cm hickory handle, which allows you to work with both blades equally well.
Thanks to its two cutting edges, the axe can be used flexibly: One side can be profiled for light splitting, for example, while the other remains sharpened for precise cutting.
This method follows an old forestry tradition: one edge for rough work that dulls the blade more quickly, the other for finer cuts in fresh or dry wood. Thanks to this versatility, the axe saves a lot of time when working in the forest and is made for everyone, from professionals to enthusiasts, who enjoy working outdoors and want to rely on their tools.

The axe heads are drop-forged and then individually hand-finished, ground, and refined by our experienced blacksmiths. This elaborate manufacturing process gives each axe its own unique look – no two are alike. The axes in this line convey the robust, honest feel of a traditional hand tool – combined with the precision and reliability of modern German quality manufacturing. The handles are smoothly ground and treated with boiled linseed oil. A vegetable-tanned leather sheath is included.
